This booklet will help structure sessions to assess and discuss self-concept. Fold construction paper into booklet and write/draw according to appropriate outline. Outline categories for booklet pages according to needs, things you want to address, things you want to learn about patients, or simple categories for low-functioning to participate. Suggested pages include positive acrostic of your name, favorite music and why, lyrics you can remember, favorite things to do, activities that the patients are good at, physical descriptions, perosnality traits, social roles played, best friends, family, social influences, self-image, ideal self, goals, obstacles, coping skills, things you're good at, and existential beliefs. Talk/counsel individually while everyone is focused on their own booklet, and then allow brief sharing with group at end.

ActivitiesEdit

Music can be used to introduce, explain, structure, reinforce, and review this and many other activities. As with every therapeutic music intervention shared through musictherapyactivities.wikia.com, a board-certified music therapist must find the best ways to utilize music and activities towards individualized goals/objectives, needs, and abilities.
