Materials:  Lyric sheets, markers, blank sheet of paper, CD, CD player


·      Feeling identification

·      ID coping skills

·      ID stressors

·      ID support system


Pass out lyrics and markers and instruct pts. to underline/mark phrases that stood out to them in the song and then play the song.

After the song, discuss the prominent phrases and underlying themes of the song.

Have each pt. draw water on their paper. Underneath the water, have them label stressors in their life and discuss. Have the pts. draw a bridge over this water and label it with ways to handle their stress.

Variation:  Use a white board instead of paper.
