Suggested Use of Song:
Children sit in circle and roll a ball to eachother while music is playing. When music stops, the child with the ball tells something to the group, i.e. what they did over vacation, favorite movie, what they want to be when they grow up, etc.
Control the environment by modeling how to roll the ball and practicing with the group. Have children point or wink at the person they are going to roll the ball to.
Children will want to reach for the ball instead of letting the ball roll to them. Take this opportunity to talk about manners and waiting your turn. The group may want to create their own signal for passing the ball to a specific person.
