Sentimental Journey
“Sentimental Journey” was originally written by Arthur Green with music by Les Brown and Ben Homer. Doris Day recorded the song in 1945 and it made #1 on the charts
This song became the unofficial homecoming song for the veterans returning from WWII. This is because “Sentimental Journey”’s release date corresponded to the end of WWII in the European theatre.
